Mitzvah Day

Ruth’s interfaith project, run by the women of Muswell Hill Synagogue and Wightman Road Mosque, was nominated for the Mitzvah Day Interfaith Award. We had collected an distributed a huge amount of new items for the Akwaaba Migrant drop-in centre, as well as opening up the synagogue for an interfaith tour.

Although we didn’t win, it was an honour to nominated alongside some amazing projects from around the country! The overall winner was the village of Hawksmoor in Cumbria which hosted 160 Syrian refugees for a day of activities, films and food – a fabulous project.
