Happy & Healthy Jewish New Year

Judaism for Schools wishes all our schools a Happy and Healthy Jewish New Year! On 2nd and 3rd of October, Jewish people around the world will be celebrating Rosh Hashanah - Jewish New Year. We’ll be welcoming in the year 5777 by eating, singing and praying together. Pomegranates, honey cake and apples dipped in honey, are just some of the traditional foods eaten in the hope of a happy and sweet year to come.

In synagogue we’ll hear the awe-inspiring sound of the shofar - a ram’s horn blown for the whole community to hear.

So let us take this opportunity to wish you a "Shana Tova oo Metukah", a Sweet and Happy New Year !
